Young Women Lead Convention

Young Women Lead Convention it’s an annual conference hosted by Organisation Hands On, under different themes aimed to craft innovative ways to protect young women and adolescent girls and create enabling grounds for them to flourish socially economically and in health and also to challenge young women from different walks of life to seize opportunities available in order to improve their lives and the eradication of barrier to economic participation.
The target audience for the conference includes women organisations, women-owned businesses, women in government, nongovernmental organisations, associations, tertiary and grade 12 students, as well as people with disabilities and women at large, including the unemployed youth.

Youth Development Summit

June is celebrated as Youth Month in South Africa, paying tribute to the school pupils and ordinary citizens who lost their lives during the 16 June 1976 uprising in Soweto.
In recognition of Youth Month, Organisation Hands On host a youth summit and career expo, aimed to highlight opportunities available to young people in the region and the career expo to inform high school pupils, unemployed youngsters and graduates about career opportunities.
Each year’s summit seeks to retrace how far we have gone in realizing the ideas that the 1976 generation fought and died for.

The Drug-free Color Run

The Drug-free-Color-Run it’s an annual colorful social event targeted to raise awareness among young people in the main, about the destructive effect of drugs on the human body.
In addition to entertainment, anti-drugs information materials are distributed among all participants. This type of event is beneficial in drawing attention to the problem of drug use and discouraging young people from using drugs.
